Projects
Because of AI, one new thing I have become is a developer of software and apps and products. I think calling myself a software developer is a bit contentious among the "we were already here" developer-types, but oh well.
I'm having lots of fun doing it. These are all things I've finished or are in progress. If they're on here, I tinker with them in some fashion and may one day finish it.
Foundation
a simple website aggregating essays and blogs from interesting people, mostly tech-types, that I've found on xtwitter.
these people are sharing their ideas and thinking, for free, on their own websites.
complete. just sharing it now.
>Neighbor
an always-available tech support assistant for seniors
actively working on it. started around 8/26/24.
searching for users. tell your parents/grandparents
No Boring Runs
run any any city, even if you've never been there.
pick a distance, a time frame, and a city. get randomly placed in the city and run. learn about landmarks as you go. make progress. have fun. pick the next city.
no users yet, still building
predictstuff.lol
a silly website where you can make predictions about the future. this was my first project to learn how to "prompt-gram" -- coding with AI.
predictions made: 9 (4 me)
Brain Trust
an app that allows you to build a corpus of yourself. can also be given to someone else for them to use AI to chat with.
status: stopped working on it in Feburary 2024
inspiration for this (after the fact), here and here from Ben Hunt's blog, Epsilon Theory
users: about 10, mostly my parents
