Sometimes, to make sense of absurd things, I like to imagine an alien visiting from another planet to view that thing and while I watch his reaction to it.
For example:
It’s sort of absurd, and video game-like, that you could be bitten by a particular kind of snake and just die — game over.
Or what about the fact that we spend close to 90% of our lives indoors when, in theory, we could be outside for way more of that.
I imagine an alien considering both of these and just going, “Huhhh.”
How about live streaming the potential induction of a recession on Twitch? There are even free emojis to express yourself in the chat!
Absurd.
